The blog is written for the artists themselves: DJs, producers, dancers and performers.
Who is behind it
Articles are published as the DTA editorial desk of Dance Transit Authority, a management firm for electronic artists in house, disco, techno and EDM, operated by Echo Persona LLC.
What we write about
Topics are chosen for artists, from the artist's side: gigs and booking, releases, promotion, rights and royalties, money, health and touring. We do not write about becoming a manager, and we never promise bookings, streams or income.
Where the figures come from
Every figure is cited to a primary source: the body that set it, such as a rights organisation, a distributor, a union or a government page. Facts carry the month they were checked. Money, rights and health articles are general information, not advice: see the disclaimer.
How an article is made
Drafts are researched and written with software help. A person then reviews every article before it is published, by Jane Kott, and nothing goes live without that review. The date in each byline is the date the reviewed version went live.
